Say Hook and Son...

'Our aim is to manage a dairy herd that is truly sustainable; caring for oursupporting the wildlife and environment around us, whilst achieving a profit to support our family. We converted the farm to organic farming methods in 1998, achieving Soil Association certification in Aug 2000. This means that we farm without the use of any chemicals or routine antibiotics. The pastures are free of fertilisers and pesticides. This means that our milk is extremely natural and pure. We work with nature, so that our cows are happy in a stress free environment. The national average life of a dairy cow is six years. Our cows' average age is nine!

We sell our milk in glass bottles on our local milk round. These can be re-used and recycled. Delivering our milk to the local area means that the food does not have to travel far and our customers know the exact source of their milk. Don't forget, our milk is raw milk, it hasn't been pasteurised or homogenised, and nothing has been added or taken away.

Our milk is also now available wherever you live in England, Wales and parts of Scotland. It is packed in polybottles in insulated cardboard boxes. If you love your raw milk, tell a friend.......RAW MILK IS BACK! '

Raw food and consciousness

I'm very happy to have an article explaining how raw food affects our state of consciouness published in Get Fresh magazine.  You can obtain the magazine here - only £2.97 to download, £3.97 for printed copy.

About 'Get Fresh!':

'Good nutrition is the foundation of good health, and Get Fresh! ...will tell you about the diet we should all be eating - a diet based around nutrient-rich, enzyme-rich raw and living plant foods...In other words, our natural diet...Leading experts in our field believe that it is not a question of whether science will one day formally validate this as the ideal diet; it is only a question of when.' We agree...But the coverage in Get Fresh! does not stop at what we eat; it also extends to what we put on our bodies and into our homes, the quality of the air we breathe, of the water we drink, and of the thoughts we think. In our toxic world there is much each of us can do to make better choices and reap the benefits of more energy and vitality, better appearance, and longer life. '
